Dear members of Taiwan Urological Association

In 2023, Taiwan and the world overcome the challenges brought by Covid-19 pandemic. Life returns to the familiar good times, and international exchanges gradually return to normal. I believe that all members are looking forward to the opportunity to gather again. This year's TUA Annual Conference will be held from August 19 to 20 at the National Taiwan University Hospital (NTU Hospital), which is the oldest large public hospital in Taiwan and has witnessed the development of modern medicine in Taiwan over the past century. It is thus even more historically significant that we select to hold our first Annual Conference here in the post-pandemic era.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the colleagues at NTU Hospital for their support in hosting this Annual Conference. The perfect venue and convenient transportation offered by NTUH International Convention Center as well as the prosperity of Taipei City will surely give everyone the best conference experience! "Revolutionizing urology with cutting-edge innovation" will be the slogan for our 2023 TUA Annual Conference, in which we will not only discuss important contemporary issues, but also inject innovative and transformative elements.

Thanks to the reopening in the post-pandemic era, this conference can be fully internationalized. Many international master-level professors will come to give speeches and share the latest dynamics and information internationally. Their interaction with domestic experts and scholars will no longer have a distance, allowing Taiwan to follow the footsteps of the world and return to the international stage to shine.

This conference will feature a diverse program of topics to meet the knowledge needs of the audience, including a series of workshops that provide hands-on learning opportunities. The featured programs include gender, law, digital medicine, and senior care, among others, to provide the most practical knowledge. This year, for the first time, an interdisciplinary dialogue between the renal and urological departments of the National Science and Technology Council will be also arranged so as to expand new ideas. The career planning agenda is expected to light up the future career of young physicians. The organizer is committed to planning the conference with great care so as to launch a refreshing academic feast in the hot summer.

Once again, my thanks to Dr. Jeff Shih-chieh Chueh, Director of Department of Urology and all our colleagues at NTU Hospital and Secretariat Office for their efforts and dedication. Let us join together to make a grand event and meet in Taipei.

Wish everyone peace and good luck and good health!"
