Dear Members of the Taiwan Urological Association and distinguished guests:
The annual Taiwan Urological Association (TUA) session will be held on August 19th ~ 20th, 2017 at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. The main reason for choosing Kaohsiung as this year’s event location was the enthusiastic invitation we received from members of southern Taiwan. Furthermore, the annual session has not been held in Kaohsiung for years. Members can also take advantage of the opportunity to explore Kaohsiung and enjoy the progress being made in the physical and cultural constructions of the harbor city over the past few years.
Various academic programs have been elaborately prepared for the 2017 annual session. In addition to theme lectures given by tens of experts from both home and abroad, expert panel discussions, and multiple theme seminars in every field, new features have been added: (1) Debate: Urology Battles & Video Debates, (2) Discussion of critical cases: Nightmares in endourology & challenge cases, and (3) Blending therapeutic guideline into daily clinical applications through case discussions.
In addition to programs regarding professional knowledge of Urology, some splendid, professional non-Urology programs are also being offered and should not be missed, including Rapport Building, Urological Informatics Forum, Social Media Crisis & Legal Problems, Special Lecture by Director-General of the National Health Insurance Administration, and Forum of Female Urologists, among others. We have prepared a variety of diversified programs for this event, and members are encouraged to visit our association’s E-School website to check the whole program. Don't miss any of our exciting programs!
Another spotlight of this annual session is the Meeting App. To keep pace and become internationalized, the Taiwan Urological Association must continuously upgrade. Using the Meeting App is truly a milestone. The CIO of the association, Dr. Chung-You Tsai, and his colleagues of the Informatics and Online Education Committee have dedicated themselves to making the Meeting App for this annual session both good-looking and useful, so that members can enjoy more efficient processes for meeting participation. We'd like to ask every member to download this app. We will also be holding two social events that cannot be missed: Evening Party of Annual Session and Fitness Walking around Chengcing Lake. Kaohsiung’s seafood cuisine is famous at home and abroad, while Chengcing Lake is a must-visit for visitors to Kaohsiung. Members and their families can also register in the tour itinerary.
This annual session will be splendid from indoors out, both day and night. Members are assured that attending our annual session this year is definitely worthwhile. We would like to express our gratitude to the Department of Urology, Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and every committees for their efforts to make the 2017 Annual Session as splendid as expected.
